Resume

Parallelink is a decentralized, user-owned communication infrastructure designed to operate independently of the Internet and traditional telecommunications networks.

Description

Individuals, businesses, communities, and organizations can deploy Link devices that communicate with one another through long-range wireless links, creating a resilient mesh network. Smartphones connect to nearby Links through a simple application, while the Links provide the infrastructure for exchanging and routing information. Each Link can be independently owned, configured as private, public, or commercial infrastructure, and potentially generate revenue for its owner by providing network capacity to other users.

Benefits

  1. Resilience during outages Communication can continue when Internet or cellular infrastructure fails.
  2. Disaster and emergency communication Particularly valuable during natural disasters, infrastructure failures, major accidents, or other situations where conventional networks become unavailable.
  3. Decentralization There isn't necessarily a single point whose failure brings the entire network down.
  4. Expandable coverage Every additional Link can potentially extend the network's geographic reach.
  5. Economic incentive for infrastructure owners People who provide strategically useful Links could potentially receive compensation for making their infrastructure available.

Development project proposal

Development of a cross-platform mobile application using React Native, enabling users to communicate through intermediary Link devices without requiring Internet connectivity. The project will follow SOLID, DRY, and KISS principles, layered architecture, clean code practices, and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Automated testing will target 98% code coverage, promoting reliability, maintainability, scalability, and future integration with additional platforms and network technologies.

Development project proposal

Development of the Link device firmware using C++ as the primary programming language. The project will follow SOLID, DRY, and KISS principles, layered architecture, clean code practices, and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Automated testing will target 98% code coverage, promoting reliability, maintainability, scalability, efficient resource usage, and hardware independence through abstraction layers, enabling future integration of different processors, radio modules, and communication technologies.
